Boyce Avenue: Fast Car
An old favorite (made popular by Tracy Chapman), and more proof that Boyce Avenue's Alejandro Manzano can sing anything.This cover in particular works so well, likely because of the addition of Kina Grannis' (to say that she has a gorgeous voice would be an understatement). Turning Fast Car into a duet adds so much to the overall idea of the song--a young couple in search of a better life who ultimately find that everything does not go as planned--and creates an extra level of emotion that I never felt with the original.
You can form your own opinion about their original music, but it's undeniable that every cover Boyce Avenue performs is golden.
