For a mere $0.99, I just downloaded the sweetest app I think I've ever laid eyes on. The concept is simple enough: touch the screen to make yourself heavy enough to slide downhill, and release your touch when it's time to launch yourself into the clouds.

The added sweetness comes in the form of the tiny little chubby bird that is the main character in this game, and the fact that this little bird is just livin' life, just trying to fly high into the sky before nighttime comes. Night, it turns out, is your only enemy in this game--eventually, the bright, beautifully-colored hills turn dark, and when the darkness hits, your little birdie falls fast asleep on the spot.

Seriously, the most adorable $0.99 I ever spent.
